About Christine

Christine is a passionate and gifted woman—born and raised Catholic in the Bronx, NY—whose spiritual calling emerged from a tender young age. For over 40 years, she has poured her heart into street ministry, walking alongside the poor, the brokenhearted, and the lost. With her own sacred blend of passion and compassion, Christine has faithfully served as a vessel of hope, healing, and dignity.

She knows the face of poverty—not from afar, but face-to-face. She has stood in jail cells, on lonely, barren sidewalks strewn with malnourished bodies, in tent cities, alleyways, shelters, hospitals, and sacred spaces. She has not gone there to preach or convert—but to remind each person that they are seen, they are not forgotten, and their lives matter. Her ministry is presence: the quiet power of eye contact with the invisible, a gentle touch for the abandoned, a warm embrace for the ashamed. In these sacred moments, Christine does not bring the Divine to others—she affirms that the Divine is already there.

Rooted in deep faith, Christine draws inspiration from many cultures while walking her own sacred path. She honors all expressions of the Spirit that reflect love, dignity, and light. As an intuitive guide and compassionate servant, she often brings comfort, clarity, and grace to those navigating pain, loss, or transformation. Her work is both a calling and a refuge—for herself and for others.

With over 25 years as a seasoned social worker, Christine masterfully integrates her professional expertise with her spiritual vocation—guiding others to unlock their soul’s calling, reclaim their hope, and establish joy once again.

The Abundant Soul is a living ministry of Christ’s love in action. Inspired by the virtues of St. Francis of Assisi, as expressed in his beloved Peace Prayer, we seek to bring comfort where there is pain, light where there is darkness, and hope where there is despair.

We answer the call:

Meeting People Where They Are. Serving with Love.

At The Abundant Soul Ministry, we are driven by the belief that no one should be without the basic dignity of care — regardless of their circumstances. Our ministry seeks to meet the immediate needs of individuals facing homelessness, poverty, and isolation, providing essential resources with compassion, respect, and a heart full of grace.

Our ministry may include:

• Food Distribution – We regularly provide nourishing meals, snacks, and basic groceries to individuals and families in need. Through community meals, street outreach, and pop-up events, we ensure that no one goes hungry. Our goal is to not only feed the body but to offer a sense of community and care that restores hope.
• Cooling Nourishment – To help those experiencing extreme heat, we distribute cooling and refreshing foods such as fresh fruit, ice pops, and drinks like Liquid IV to help hydrate and refresh the body. These items are particularly important during the hot summer months, offering relief from the sun while providing much-needed nutrients and hydration.
• Clothing and Supplies – We gather and distribute clothing items to those in need — from jackets and socks to shoes, gloves, and hats. In addition, we provide essential supplies such as blankets, hygiene kits, and toiletries to help restore dignity and comfort. These efforts are critical in supporting the physical needs of those who are living without stable shelter.
• Toiletries and Hygiene Kits – Access to clean and basic hygiene products is often limited for those experiencing homelessness. We provide essential toiletries, including soap, toothpaste, deodorant, sanitary items, and other hygiene essentials. These small acts of care go a long way in restoring a sense of dignity and humanity.
• Companion and Spiritual Presence – We offer more than just physical support. We seek to be a compassionate presence in the lives of those who are suffering. Whether through one-on-one visits or group gatherings, we provide a listening ear, emotional support, and the comfort of prayer. We believe that no one should have to face life's challenges alone. Our volunteers offer spiritual companionship, walking alongside individuals, offering encouragement, and praying for those in need of strength, peace, and hope.
• Community Dinners – We are working towards hosting community dinners where everyone is welcome — regardless of their circumstances. These free meals will foster belonging, hope, purpose, and joy by offering a safe place for individuals to gather, share a meal, and experience the deep connection of community. These dinners will not only nourish the body but also uplift the spirit, creating an environment where all are valued, seen, and accepted. At each dinner, we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging— a place where people can find not just food, but a renewed sense of purpose, joy, and connection.
• Emergency Supplies – In times of urgent need, we provide items such as first aid kits, bottled water, sunscreen, and other supplies that help protect and preserve the health of individuals in crisis. Whether through outreach or at our community events, we ensure that basic necessities are available to those who need them most.
• Resource Referrals and Support – In addition to providing physical items, we connect people to resources that can help stabilize their situation. Whether it’s assistance with finding shelter, accessing healthcare, or navigating social services, we walk alongside individuals, providing guidance, emotional support, and practical help as they work toward longer-term solutions.

Our work is guided by love, not obligation — and shaped by the capacity of our volunteers, resources, and community. We trust that when we show up with open hearts, God meets us there.

As a growing ministry, our offerings may shift as we discern the most meaningful and sustainable ways to serve.

Above all, this is a ministry of presence — not perfection. We do what we can, when we can, with deep compassion and grace.
